We are looking for those who share our values to join GIPSIL’s Board of Trustees – to contribute to our strategic direction and help shape a brighter future for communities in West Yorkshire.

About us

GIPSIL was founded by local residents and works in the heart of one of the most disadvantaged communities in Leeds, providing vital support and resources to help individuals thrive. We lead two impactful consortiums—Our Way Leeds and Engage—each addressing key challenges such as homelessness. We are Ofsted registered, supporting children who are looked after and also provide specialist services in schools to support young people’s mental health, resilience and community engagement. We collaborate closely with schools, councils, and local partners to do our best to ensure access to the help needed when its needed.

Why Join Us?

As a trustee, you’ll play a crucial role in guiding GIPSIL’s strategic direction, ensuring we remain true to our values and our mission. You’ll help us:

  • Strengthen our governance and accountability
  • Advocate for inclusive and community-led solutions
  • Support the development of innovative programs
  • Champion the voices of those we serve

We’re Looking For People Who:

  • Share our commitment to social justice and community empowerment
  • Have skills in areas such as Ofsted compliance, finance, youth work, housing, or mental health
  • Bring diverse perspectives and lived experience
  • Are willing to dedicate time, energy, and expertise to help us grow
